This stuff is engineered to handle those brutal temperature jumps without flinching. Even if some cold water splashes onto the surface while it’s glowing, the glass holds together. We also add a protective sleeve or a special coating. That way, even if the inner part fails, you aren’t dealing with glass shards raining down on someone in the shower. But the glass is only half the battle. These lamps pull a lot of power to give you that “instant warmth” feeling. That creates a massive amount of heat in a very tight ceiling space. If your wiring isn’t up to the task, you’re risking melted insulation. It’s a lot of stress on the sockets, and you have to respect that. And please, don’t just jam these into any old fixture.
