How it actually works

Built for the splash zone
Steam, splashes, and humidity are basically poison for electronics. If you’re putting these in a locker room or on a patio, you can’t just use a standard heater. That’s why we use IP-rated enclosures. It’s a fancy way of saying we seal the guts of the machine so water can’t get in and fry the circuitry. We also wrap the heating elements in high-grade quartz glass. This keeps the moisture and oxygen away from the filament so it doesn’t burn out prematurely. We even use heavy-duty connectors—usually R7s—to make sure the electrical seal is tight. These things are built to take a beating.
Getting the setup right
Here’s the tricky part: infrared is powerful. Really powerful. Because the heat is so concentrated, placement is everything. If you hang them too low, your customers are going to feel like they’re standing too close to a campfire. Too high? You lose that “instant” warmth that makes the system work. The secret is finding the sweet spot based on the wattage. We usually suggest a staggered layout. By spacing them out across the floor, you get even coverage without any weird “hot spots.” Plus, you don’t have to leave them running 24/7, which keeps your power bill from spiking.
